Donald Duke’s daughter weds in Switzerland
Nela, one of the daughters of a former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, wedded her man, Asuquo Ekpeyong, on Saturday. The wedding was held in Switzerland amidst their close friends and family. The groom is the current commissioner of finance in Cross River State. The couple held their traditional marriage in December. Duke’s older daughter, Xerona wedded entertainment entrepreneur, DJ Caise, in March. The latter, whose real name is Derin Phillips, is the son of a former Lagos State commissioner, Teju Phillips.
Veteran Nollywood Actor, Chike Osuji, passes on
A veteran Nollywood actor, Chike Osuji, died a few weeks ago but news of his death filtered in over the weekend. He was 65.
The special assistant to the president of Actors Guild of Nigeria on media and publicity, Ochendo McSmith, confirmed his death. The deceased featured in movies such as ‘The book of Harragon’, ‘40 Days in the Wilderness’, ‘The Governor’, among many others. He is survived by a wife and four children.
Falz meets P. Diddy in California
Barely a month after American hip-hop superstar, Sean Combs, alias P Diddy, hailed rapper, Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, for his new video, ‘This is Nigeria’, the pair have finally met.
Falz visited Diddy in his California home and shared a video of both of them. In the video, PDiddy revealed that he has adopted a Nigerian name, “Oluwadiddy.”
BBNaija housemate, Ifuennada says she was almost forced to star in porn
Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate and actress, Ifu Ennada, has revealed how an elderly man almost forced her to feature in a porn movie at 15. According to her, poverty almost led her to accept the offer. She revealed this on Instagram on Sunday. She wrote, “I remember how some man almost forced me into acting in Child Pornography. He said the money was good and would help liberate my family financially, but I knew that life wasn’t for me.
“I just knew God would bless me and it wouldn’t be from sleeping with people to get money or acting in such immoral films. I don’t even know where the man is, last I heard of him, about 7yrs ago, he was terribly sick. Wetin I never see for this life? I’m very grateful to God. I’m grateful to everyone.”
Gordons narrates experience on troubled plane
A tragedy was on Saturday averted as popular Nigerian singers and a comedian boarded a plane that developed fault mid-air. The singers: Tekno and Flavour, alongside Comedian Gordons were travelling to Ghana. In an Instagram video that lasted one minute, Gordons narrated how the musicians, himself and their band members were informed of the plane’s fault midair during a short flight from Lagos to Accra, Ghana. He said, ”Please help me praise God and thank him today. God delivered me, Flavour, Tekno, their band boys and other people who flew with us from Lagos to Accra today. God delivered us from air accident. Eight minutes into our flight to Accra, the pilot announced our plane developed a fault.” Flavour and Tekno are yet to make official comment on the averted air mishap but they have both shared snippets of their performances at the music concert, which held in Ghana on social media.
Bobrisky says he is getting married soon
Popular Nigerian cross-dresser, Bobrisky, has said he is not gay and plans to wed soon. Speaking with Sunnewsonline, he said, “I have a girlfriend and she lives in London. My girlfriend understands the game, I made her understand and told her not to get distracted with whatever she hears about me.”

BB Naija’s Bisola is bereaved
This is not the best of times for talented actress who is also 2017 BBNaija star, Bisola Aiyeola. Currently, she is mourning the loss of her baby daddy, Olanrewaju Malcom, who died on Saturday.The deceased, an artiste manager and promoter, passed away at Model Specialist Hospital, Surulere, Lagos. He had a prolonged battle with a yet to be disclosed ailment. Not too long ago, he made a vague post wherein he hinted about his health condition and how some friends were elated to see him improving.

Kelly Hansome challenges Don Jazzy
It came as a rude shock to music lovers when Kelechi Orji, aka Kelly Hansome, recently accused Don Jazzy of locking him up for doing a cover of a song.
The Maga Don Pay singer shared the story on his Instagram page while celebrating a friend’s birthday.
Speaking with Sunday Scoop, he said, “I guess people were surprised because they felt Don Jazzy could not do such. Why would you lock up your brother for doing a cover of a song? The track is titled I’m Feeling Good and it is by 2baba and it featured D’banj. Don Jazzy produced it. If he is proud of what he did, he should respond.”
Hansome also stated that Charly Boy could testify to what he was saying, as he was one of the people who helped him. He said, “I signed an undertaken and they published it online with my signature. They claimed I was bailed with N500, 000 but that’s untrue. I didn’t put out the song; it was leaked online. They even told the police to put a laptop on my hands so that people would think I was a yahoo boy (Internet fraudster).”
