LITTLE DROPS OF HAPPY Premieres
LITTLE DROPS OF HAPPY lights up Silverbird Galleria yesterday
this was obvious as the atmosphere was consumed with excitements as guests walk
down the red carpet from 6pm. From the arrival of the beautiful Nollywood
seasoned actress Ngozi Nwosu’s stunning entrance to the star lady of the night,
the deep actor, no other person than the elegantly, curvy and always charming mother
of one Osas Ighodaro Ajibade.
After her was the dazzling beautiful visionary director Grace
Edwin-Okon not forgetting the angelic arrival of Dr. Maymunah Kadiri who
gorgeously walked in flanked by her kids and husband.
Yesterday again saw a revolution in the history of not just
Nigerian but the entire Black filmmakers a historic reproach in conscious
filmmaking. The director took us on a journey with a lady (Osas Ajibade) who
lives at a brink and whose husband as a typical black man wouldn’t succumb to
admit been mentally sick as well known and fondly related in our society “only women who are weak can be depressed” forgetting
the high impact of our daily hurdles.
Watching LITTLE DROPS OF HAPPY brings one to that state of
action and determination to take mental health seriously not forgetting the strong
inspiration of fighting the right way (getting help) while holding on to your
marriage.
When Osas Ajibade (Mrs. Mano Ojo) took her husband’s phone
and made the Instagram live video announcing the arrival of their set of twins Ayoola
Ayolola (Mr. Ojo) arose swiftly giving us the impression of a fight, whereas they
just jumped at each other laughing also signifying the end of the movie. A
resounding applause came on from each and everyone in the hall such that it
attracted those who couldn’t find a seat as the hall filled up to rush back in.
‘The film is relatable
from all aspect of life’ so I heard someone say after we finished viewing. Everyone wore wide
smiles as we walk out. The producer Dr. Kadiri and her team took a bow pleading
with everyone to take mental health seriously and seek help when possible
noting the high rate of How Bodi app download after the first public bridge
suicide. HOW BODI is an app that is user friendly dedicated for mental health
