The 2018 iPhones are here, and they’re pretty much exactly as the rumours have claimed.
The iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR are the iPhones you’re going to be seeing around for the next one year. (The ‘X’ is pronounced ’10’, guys.)
The XS and XS Max are 5.8 inches and 6.5 inches respectively, with users able to choose between the gold, silver, and space grey colours.
Both come with a dual camera behind them – 12 megapixel and telephoto lens – and a 7-megapixel camera in front.
Apple has also promised that Face ID works faster than on the iPhone X, while the XS battery will last 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X battery, and the XS Max battery will last 1 hour 30 minutes more than the X.
The XR is to be cheaper than both phones, and will come with a screen size of 6.1 inches.
There’s a 12-megapixel camera on this one, too, but no telephoto lens, and its screen is an LCD, not the OLED HDR displays on the XS and XS Max.
The XR will come in fancy colours like blue, yellow, project red, white, black and coral.
And to the most important bit: the pricing!
Apple has said the XR will start at $749, while the XS will start at $999 and the XS max at $1099.
The phones will go on sale next week on Friday, September 21, but you can preorder this Friday, September 14. (Except the XR, which won’t be available for pre-order until September 19 and available for sale October 26.)
