Yoruba actress, Bose Alao, announces break-up with hubby

Yoruba actress and movie producer, Bose Alao, has announced that her 10-year marriage to football star, Rasaq Omotoyosi, is over.

The actress disclosed this on WhatsApp on Sunday.

The news came as a surprise especially since the mother of four heartily celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary on Instagram a week ago.

At the time, she said she and her hubby are ”two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other”.

The actress claimed that her marriage ended due to domestic violence.

She said she had only been pretending adding that her husband beat her repeatedly.

She also promised to release pictures of the assault soon. According to her, her phone was destroyed during the latest violence.

In her posts, Bose disclosed that her marriage to Omotoyosi ended on June 2.

Back in October, the actress shared photographs wherein she was allegedly battered by her husband.

Before then, she alleged that her colleague Bidemi Kosoko was seeing her husband and accused her of being behind the hitches in her marriage. She called the latter out on Instagram.

When NOStv called her she did not pick up. She also did not respond to WhatsApp messages sent to her.

The 33-year-old actress’ debut movie role was in Eji Owuro, produced by Bimbo Oshin. However, Itakun and Edge of Paradise thrust her into the limelight.

Her now estranged husband on the other hand is a Nigerian-born Beninese footballer that plays for Hearts of Oak and also for the Benin national football team.

Omotoyosi, who plays as a striker, has played in Nigeria, Egypt, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and France.
